FREE GUIDE FROM JOY HEALEY

The honest pros and cons of remote jobs, freelancing, content, e-commerce and low-cost online business, so you can pick the one that fits the time you actually have.

• Way 1: Work-from-home jobs. Why the "safe" route is often the most crowded one, and who it still suits.
• Way 2: Freelancing. The quickest way to earn from a skill you already have, plus the hours trap to watch out for.
• Way 3: Content income. Why views alone don't pay the bills, and the missing piece that changes that.
• Way 4: E-commerce. What's good, what's bad, and where the profit quietly leaks away.
• Way 5: Low-cost online business. The route I chose, how few customers it takes to cover a monthly bill, and a free starting point if you'd rather not spend a penny yet.

Plus a side-by-side table of all five, so you can see in two minutes which one fits your life.

I've been self-employed for most of my working life. Right now I run an offline business with one of my sons and fit my online side hustles around it, so I know what it's like to squeeze work into the gaps of a busy week.

I used to be a computer programmer, and I thought that would make earning online easy. It didn't. It's a whole different ball game.

So I tried things. Some worked, some cost me. This guide is the honest version I wish someone had handed me: what each route asks of you, what it gives back, and which one fits the time you really have.

No hype, no money falling from the sky. Just common sense.

This is for you if you want or need a side income and you're willing to learn a few simple skills.
It's not for you if you're looking for something that pays without any effort at all.
